Human
Common tongue
Adaptable, everywhere, filling the ranks of every faction from the Dragonarmy to the Knights of Solamnia.
[ WORLD DOSSIER ]
One world, one war, and every people on it arguing about what the gods' return actually means.
[ CENSUS RECORD ]
Twenty playable peoples call Krynn home. Six of the most common at Lhambor-Kanan:
Common tongue
Adaptable, everywhere, filling the ranks of every faction from the Dragonarmy to the Knights of Solamnia.
Elven tongue
Long-lived and slow to trust. Kagonesti and Qualinesti alike make up the backbone of the Wildrunners.
Dwarven tongue
Hold the deep mines of Thorbardin. The Conclave and every smith on Ansalon pay well for what they bring up.
Minotaur tongue
Seafaring and militant. Make up much of the Dragonarmy's naval strength — though not all of them serve willingly.
Kenderspeak
Fearless, footloose, and allergic to the concept of property. Turn up everywhere — oddly common among the Brotherhood's contacts.
Gnomish
Mechanically inclined to a fault. Their contraptions rarely work as intended, and that has never once slowed them down.
[ DIPLOMATIC STATUS ]
Standing relationships between the great powers of Ansalon. All of them are one incident from changing.
[ WORLD CHRONICLE ]
The Kingpriest of Istar overreaches, seeking to burn evil out of the world by force. The gods withdraw. A fiery mountain falls, Istar sinks, and the Blood Sea covers what's left.
In a village most people have forgotten, a woman with a blue crystal staff heals someone. The gods were still there. They had simply never answered — until then.
Refugees and traders build a foothold at the crossroads south of the war-torn north, betting that neutral ground can survive what marches through it.
Five wings under one Queen sweep south. The Knights of Solamnia are the only organised military response. The Conclave holds its neutrality, barely. The Holy Order is rebuilding from almost nothing.
The war is north of Lhambor-Kanan today. Tomorrow, that's not guaranteed.
